Hello Hello, Everyone!
Last Tuesday I got the opportunity to see Sarah Dessen (my absolute favorite author of all time) at Book People. As soon as I saw the flyer, I new I had to go. Unfortunately, Peyton couldn't come, but I am here to give y'all the scoop.
Sarah read an excerpt from her new book (to be released June 4), The Moon and More-- it sounds amazing! Be on the look out for it on shelves this summer or preorder it on Amazon!
The author also had time to answer a few questions from the audience. She shared that she and her husband love Austin, and her daughter is rambunctious!

Book Review- Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver
Summary (Goodreads): What if you only had one day to live? What would you do? Who would you kiss? And how far would you go to save your own life?
Samantha Kingston has it all: looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it turns out to be her last.
The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. Living the last day of her life seven times during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

Emma's Review: I thought this book was absolutely captivating! I literally found myself reading chapter after chapter as quickly as I could to find out what Samantha would do next. The plot itself is so unique! I mean who else could come up with this kind of an occurrence? Only the lovely Lauren Oliver herself! When I was reading this book I seriously couldn't put it down! It was so interesting and a great story for when you are struggling with your next read. The characters in this novel are simply intriguing, you will become so attached to them, just as I had! I feel that I kept thinking about the plot and the characters a long while after reading this book, and I just couldn't help myself! This is a nail biting, fun, and alluring book! It gets a five star rating from me!

Book Review! Ten Things We Did (and Probably Shouldn't Have) by Sarah Mlynowski
Summary (goodreads): 2 girls + 3 guys + 1 house - parents = 10 things April and her friends did that they (definitely, maybe, probably) shouldn't have.
If given the opportunity, what sixteen-year-old wouldn't jump at the chance to move in with a friend and live parent-free? Although maybe "opportunity" isn't the right word, since April had to tell her dad a tiny little untruth to make it happen (see #1: "Lied to Our Parents"). But she and her housemate Vi are totally responsible and able to take care of themselves. How they ended up "Skipping School" (#3), "Throwing a Crazy Party" (#8), "Buying a Hot Tub" (#4), and, um, "Harboring a Fugitive" (#7) at all is kind of a mystery to them.
Emma's Review: I really really enjoyed this book. I think it has a little bit of everything in it- romance, comedy, friendship, trouble (for sure)- and because of this I think it would make a perfect chick flick. I think of this book kind of as a "summer fling". It is great to read while lying by the ocean or the pool or even on a rainy day. April is such a fun character, and I really felt like I related to her, whether she was getting into trouble (most of the time), or just making me laugh with her random thoughts. This is a perfect summer read that you can't pass up!

What's Coming Up!
Hey Everyone! Since it's almost summer, and Peyton and I will both be traveling and things will be really hectic, we decided that whatever books we read during the summer, whether we have both read them or not, we will review them! So if Emma writes a review on a book and Peyton reads it later, then Peyton will just add on to it when she finishes reading it. Hope y'all are excited for Summer!!
